Liberty Leadership Scholarship ($1,500—one award) 

Purpose: To award to a licensed occupational health and environmental nurse dedicated to developing leadership skills to better provide for the health and safety of workers in the workplace and protect and ensure the longevity of the occupational health nursing profession.

Funds to be applied to leadership education activity/program registration, travel, and/or associated subsistence (food and lodging) fees relating to participation in the program. Note: See application for more information.

Annette Haag Leadership Scholarship ($1,500—one award)

Purpose: To award to a licensed occupational and environmental health nurse dedicated to developing leadership skills to better provide for the health and safety of workers in the workplace and protect and ensure the longevity of the occupational health nursing profession.

Funds are to be applied to costs to attend the AAOHN National Conference for the purpose of assisting in the development of leadership skills for better worker health outcomes. Sample costs: registration, travel, and/or associated subsistence (food and lodging) fees relating to participation at the conference.

Professional Development Scholarships

Purpose: To support occupational and environmental health professionals in attending and successfully completing continuing education activities that will further their professional development and continued competence.  These grants are not intended to supplement tuition in an academic program.

MEDITRAX ($1,500 each—two awards)

AAOHN FOUNDATION ($1,500—one award)

Funds to be applied to continuing education activity/program registration, travel, and/or associated subsistence (food and lodging) fees relating to the AAOHN National Conference only.

MediTrax Leadership Institute and Conference ($2,300-one award)

Purpose:  Awarded to a licensed occupational and environmental health nurse dedicated to developing leadership skills to better provide for the health and safety of workers in the workplace and protect and ensure the longevity of the occupational health nursing profession. 

Funds are to be applied to costs to attend the AAOHN Leadership Institute 2.5 day Course, National Conference registration and to offset travel and lodging expenses.

Academic Education Scholarships

Purpose:  To provide opportunities to further professional education for occupational and environmental health professionals.

LIBERTY MUTUAL INSURANCE ($2,500 each—two awards)

UPS Foundation ($2,500 each—six awards)

NIWI Grant

Purpose: To support AAOHN member participation and learning about the legislative process, the AAOHN Foundation is providing one grant to the next session of the Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI).  The grant provided is to offset the costs associated with attending NIWI. 

The program provides participants the opportunity to learn from health policy experts, members of Congress and other government officials and to network with nurses from around the country and is sponsored by the Nursing Organizations Alliance, an umbrella group of national nursing organizations to which AAOHN is a member.
