Adults are not current on their immunizations. Immunization coverage rates for adults is low. This presentation will increase awareness and improve the delivery of immunizations of adults.
Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:
- Identify appropriate routine vaccination recommendations for adults by age and certain medical conditions.
- Evaluate how the standards for adult immunization practice can be implemented at his or her workplace.
- Discuss strategies to improve vaccinations for adults.

Dr. David Kim, MD Dr. David Kim is a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service currently assigned to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and works on adult immunization in the Immunization Services Division. During his tenure at the CDC, Dr. Kim worked in a variety of programs including immigrant health, quarantine, HIV drug resistance surveillance, and public health emergency preparedness. He is the CDC Lead of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) Adult Immunization Working Group.
