This presentation will help viewers understand the cost of MSD's in the workplace, describe employer's rights under EEOC/ADA in RTW process and describe what is policy driven RTW
Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss costs of injury and delayed RTW (Direct and Indirect Costs)
- Describe regulatory rights under EEOC/ADA in RTW process

Debra Lord, PT, CEAS II is the president and CEO of Job Ready Services, an Industrial Rehabilitation practice, in Raleigh, NC, specializing in Job Analysis, Functional Employment Testing, Work Conditioning, Functional Capacity Exams, Ergonomic Assessments and Return to Work Assessments. She has a degree in Physical Therapy and holds certifications in functional testing, job analysis, and ergonomics. She has been a member of the NC Workers’ Compensation Research Institutes’ Medical Advisory Board since 2007. She will discuss the use of Medical and Functional Releases for employees to RTW and the benefits and shortfalls.
