Educational Resources For occupational health nurses
AAOHN is committed to creating high quality continuing education for occupational health nurse professionals.
AAOHN is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC - COA). AAOHN uses ANCC criteria, which states contact hours are determined by 60 minutes equals one (1) contact hour.
AAOHN is also an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Our provider number is #CEP9283.
AAOHN Online Academy
AAOHN will be transitioning to a new Online Education Center in January 2020. The AAOHN Online Academy will close October 31, 2019.
You will need to complete current courses by October 31, 2019 to receive CNE. Courses in-progress will not carry over into the new education center. AAOHN also recommends you download all completed course certificates for your records by this closure date. You will not have access to the Online Academy after October 31, 2019. Connect in-person with experts at the annual National Conference or attend an event sponsored by an AAOHN Chapter. AAOHN's partner organizations, including the University of Michigan for Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, also offer courses to advance your education.
AAOHN's Approver Unit is fully accredited as an approver of CNE by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. It's designed to review, evaluate, and critique continuing education activities developed and implemented by our chapters, members, and outside affiliates.
