It is appropriate for those who may or may not be planning to take an exam review course and for everyone who is studying to take the COHN, COHN-S or the COHN-CM exams that are conducted by the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN).
Presenter Information:Denise Knoblauch, BSN RN COHN-S/CM has been an occupational health nurse and case manager for over 23 years. She began her career as a single clinician in a small rural hospital employee health department without a mentor and quickly had to develop programs to comply with the changing regulations of bloodborne pathogens, FMLA, ADA and respiratory protection. One of her most memorable professional accomplishments was passing her COHN exam in her first year of eligibility. Her next career step was joining the occupational health department of an urban medical center based occupational health department. She developed the case manager positions in that department. Denise developed a medical department in an agricultural manufacturing facility and functioned as a clinician, health promotion specialist, educator, case manager, and health services coordinator. Her specialty focus has been in the medical center occupational/employee health. She just entered a new field as a telephonic case manager in the insurance industry. She is also excited to be selected as a co author of a soon to be published book, “What Color is Your Brain for Healthcare workers.” She is the proud grandma of 5 grandchildren and her at home kids are 2 Australian Shepherds, Whiskey and Norman and 1 husband!
