Session Description:  Vision screenings often test for visual functions such as visual acuity, color vision, visual field and depth perception. The implied assumption is that the functions we measure are related to general visual performance relevant to safety and the performance of specific tasks or jobs. However, the link between these visual functions and visual performance may not be so clear. You’ll have the opportunity to explore vision standards from a scientific perspective and highlight the impact of modern technologies, such as computers and LED lighting, on vision screening.
