Reinforce Your OHN Practice: Fundamentals, New Concepts and Skills

Join your OHN colleagues as we return to Montreat to review the fundamentals and learn new concepts and skills to reinforce our OHN practice.

Welcome back to Bill Taylor who will provide an OSHA Recordkeeping Update and Joe Tripp MD who will demonstrate Musculoskeletal Physical Assessment tech-niques. This will be an interactive session as we assess each other!

Gianna Bryan returns to share information on the Overuse of Antibiotics and Mathew Wilding will close the conference by discussing how to extend the Health-span.

We welcome Deborah Larrimore for the first time to explain Healing Touch and how it applies to our personal and professional practice.

This activity has been submitted to the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN ) for approval to award 10 contact hours.. AAOHN is an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

If you have friends/family who would like to eat in the dining hall please be prepared to cover the cost of their meals. Last spring NCAOHN was able to cover this expense but it has not been determined if the association can do so for this confer-ence.

Directions to the Montreat Conference Center
Via Interstate 40, take Exit 64 to Black Mountain/ Montreat/ Route 9. This exit is 15 miles east of Asheville. At the exit, turn north on Route 9 and go through three traffic lights in Black Mountain. Route 9 will become Montreat Road, and you will drive approximately two miles to the stone gate at the Montreat entrance. From the gate, continue approximately 1.5 miles to Lake Susan and Assembly Inn at the heart of the conference center.

Presenters and planners have no conflicts of interest affecting this continuing education (CE) activity. Partial credit may be received for this conference. No partial credit may be received for the pre-conference. Each attendee must sign the At-tendance Roster for each session they attend in addition to completing the Attendance Verification Form which will note which individual sessions were attended.
The total amount of hours noted on the Attendance Verification Form will be the number of hours placed on the CE certifi-cate received at the end of the conference. Each attendee must also complete the Conference Evaluation.
