Continuing education in occupational and environmental health nursing is available from several professional occupational health nursing organizations, including AAOHN and almost all of the NIOSH ERCs.  Continuing education can be in the form of an onsite or virtual conferences, online self-paced learning, or live and recorded webcasts.  It can be a short, one-hour sessions, a full conference, or certificate courses of varying length.  For example, they offer Occupational Health Principles and Nursing Certification Review (2 1/2 days), Bloodborne Pathogens (1/2 day) and the Ergo Online Monthly Webinar Series.  The Southern California Education and Research Center is approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #13555 (SCERC).
