AAOHN Announces New Director of Education

Chicago — The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) announced today that Alma Jackson, PhD, RN, COHN-S joined the association as Director of Education.

Jackson comes to AAOHN after working at the Regis University, Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions for the past seven years. Prior to that she was a professor at Colorado Mesa University. Jackson is the owner of Colorado Safety Works, Inc. which provides health, safety and workers compensation consulting to companies throughout the U.S. Her principle area of expertise is health and safety in the aging workforce. Jackson also obtained a patent for a cushion that decreases shock and vibration for heavy equipment operators. She has been asked to speak on health and safety in the aging workforce across the country and internationally.

Jackson brings her experience in developing educational curriculum, planning, directing and delivering educational content, identifying new and current topics for occupational and environmental health and safety courses to the 4,000 occupational health and safety professionals that are members of AAOHN.
